In 2005, Fritidsresor Group decided to re-design, modernize and improve their flagship family hotel concept brand. Göran Plåt was brought in to supervise the creative process, acting as concept development manager on a consultancy basis. Key areas such as re-branding, F&B experience, entertainment, room design, children’s club content as well as sustainability and health & safety was on the improvement agenda.
During the years 2005 – 2010, the main family concept Blue Village became one of the most successful hotel concepts on the Nordic market, with constant growth, both in terms of customer satisfaction and profitability. TUI’s current world-wide hotel concept Family Life is still largely based on concepts created during this period.
Göran Plåt made a significant and critical impact in the development of the Blue Village concept, both as a creative and as a leader.
